A Link to an Essay: English 3010

A couple of years ago I published an essay called "English 3010" in Touchstones Literary Magazine. They have now digitized it and made it available on line. This is convenient because now everybody that visits this blog (only my wife) will be able to read it.

"English 3010" is an essay about inability to communicate in a class on communication, but ultimately, it's a story about letting go. I saw that "letting go" part on an ad for a movie somebody was trying to raise money for the other day and thought, "Wow, that sounds like it means something profound without actually meaning much of anything." As such, I think it really adds some angsty indie cred to my essay. That's what I want here. Angsty indie cred for the disappointed pornography connoisseurs. So pretty much everything I write from now on is going to be about "letting go."

My piece starts on page 58. So hold on tight, and get ready to "let go." That sounded much more clever before I typed it.
